The Al Gore Backpack

Saturday, October 24, 2009

I don’t know what the inspiration was behind this backpack, but it recently premiered at Dutch Design Week. Atelier Van Noten named it the Al Gore. The backpack is made of 50 kilos of acrylic with a TomTom GPS set for a slowly melting glacier in Switzerland. Don’t ask me why this is interesting, but it is.
